Say Farewell to Twitter’s Ugly Brown Box Avatar

twitter_new_default_avatar You see that cute little birdie in the image to the left?

Look closely at it and memorize it, because if you use Twitter, you’re going to be seeing a lot more of it.

In case you haven’t heard, yesterday Twitter announced that they are adding 4 new Twitter backgrounds. That’s great news for people who don’t use Custom Twitter backgrounds.

But IMHO, the best news is that they are also replacing the default Twitter avatar…

…from this twitter_old_default_avatar to this twitter_new_default_avatar

    The pretty green bird avatar is much nicer, but, I don’t know – should you get ‘prettier’ if you’re not even willing to use an avatar? I guess the ugly brown was a nice ‘red flag’ for people we maybe didn’t want to follow….hmm…
